Increase sales by forward thinking

What is forward thinking? How can it help me? Why can it help me? Most of us "sales people" are impatient and spontaneous. These are traits we cannot escape. What often happens is we get caught up in the "now". And expect immediate results all of the time. This would be great but it isn't reality. Realistically things take time even in NY which is the most aggressive and spontaneous sales market of them all. What we do now, we will REAP down the road maybe 3 to 6 months out. This mindset is not inherited it is taught and learned from experience. We talked about negativity the other day. Frustration and negativity can spawn from concentrating too much in the "now" and not down the road. For example. If you are working on an important prospect with a large project and you are excited about it, don't let that one prospect take up all of your time and energy. If the project doesn't come in quickly you will have wasted precious time when you could have been multitasking with other important prospects as well. It's like plate spinning. You are the plate spinner, the prospects are plates. Keep all plates spinning until you need to catch a few without them breaking. Forward thinking. Sow now and reap later. Trust me this works!!!

Have a great holiday and a happy new year!
