Just because we are in Sales and are successful doesn't mean we are bionic men and women. Yes this might come as a surprise to people but we are human. Lol! Outside of our profession to solve (or SELL otherwise known as solve initiatives) and hit quotas we have equally or more important everyday life behind the scenes pulling at our energy. Bills, children, wives, husbands, friends, in-laws, ex's, pets. The list could go on and on and on. It isn't easy balancing everything. But remember one very important thing and that is NO ONE else expects it to be easy either.
Your colleagues, direct reports, bosses, mentors, acquaintances, partners, admins and staff are all enduring the same juggling act of life. Don't think for one second that others don't feel the pressure of life on their work or vice versa. One of the hardest things to do when you are busy and successful is to manage your time and enjoy life. We are not alone. There might be days when you think to yourself and start worrying if others have similar issues with managing their time, business and family. Your not alone. Successful people figure it out. Its in our blood. But remember even the person you report to thinks about these things. Dont be afraid to discuss life with work. Remember you might be at work more than you are home. Let them coexist ( Obviously there is a line you draw ;). Stop worrying and start solving (selling). I like solving better. Sell is soooo Old School and promotes bad habits! ;)
