You can do anything you put your mind to

When I first started out in sales I was working for a finance company doing outbound telemarketing. I got a stack of cards with names and numbers on it and was told to just call them up and tell them why your solution makes sense. At the time I thought to myself "I can't do this". Well, 18 years later I am still in sales telling everyone how my solution makes sense and loving every minute of it. Can't isn't a word in sales. It doesn't exist. Whatever you put your mind to you can do. We need to train our brain the way we want. It's like when you are going to the gym and working out. You are training your muscles to except more and more weight in order to build strength. Same with your brain but we are using thoughts as the weights. Think as "if" you already have THAT customer, THAT deal or THOSE leads, etc. We only use about 10% of our brain in a normal day. Lets tap into other parts and train our brain to help us succeed. We talked in many many posts ago about not using words like "sell" and "sale" or "buy". Rather use words like "provide a solution" and "help" and "solve" and "invest". These words create thoughts in your brains and the customers brains about how your viewing yourself and how the customer is viewing you. Train your brain. Put your mind to things and it will help you. There are a lot of salespeople out there providing solutions in your field and trying to eat your DOG FOOD. Get out there, tell your story and put your mind to kicking some ASS in 2013!!!!

Have a great day!
