Great presentations use pictures

The "Presentation" of today is nothing like it was years ago. Most presentations were done with large print outs of proposals and an easel drawing all sorts of stuff to get your point across. Then PowerPoint became popular and we all jammed as much content as we could on slides to get the point across and educate customers. But the customer is MUCH more informed and educated today with the evolution of the Internet. The days of cramming every nook and cranny of detail on a ppt deck are over. In my opinion the best presentations have very little words and many pictures, videos, etc. Quick story for those of you in technology sales, I attended a trade show that Ingram Micro hosted one year and they featured a motivational speaker. Not one of his slides hade more than a few words on them and all of them had pictures. The presentation was the best one I had ever seen and heard. It was funny, entertaining, educational and inspiring. These characteristics should be in your presentations. Remember a few past posts of mine about being different be real!!! Use imagery in your presentations to get your point across. Make sure you have a little bit of what you are offering and mostly "why" they should be investing (notice I didn't say BUY for those reading my blog) in your solution. Use pictures. Get them off google images. It's free. Careful with copyrights ;) but generally you should be fine. I challenge you all to so this and email or comment on your experience.

God Bless the Northeast. Yet again hit with a powerful storm and many still without power including ME. Argh!!!
