Don't be afraid to talk to your boss

Our everyday lives are surrounded by fears that hinder our ability to grow and reach beyond our potential. This fear doesn't have to hinder us if we learn to face the fears. One thing always puzzles me and its the fear many employees have about how their boss or bosses boss will react to a question, favor or disagreement asked of them. We all have jobs to do. And if your job requires that you make the best decisions for the business then in order for you to prepare to do so you need to ask questions and get answers. Don't be afraid to ask questions and if you already know the answer then ask another question. Don't be a wise ass!! Now another point to keep in mind is confronting or disagreeing with a current situation. This could eat up a sales rep inside out if it isn't talked about. In addition, your boss needs to understand that you can handle a situation correctly and have the understanding when to speak up and take control. Only the strong survive. The weak get eatin'. If you don't agree on something or an issue has surfaced, get all of the facts before you confront your boss and be firm but professional and thorough. This exercise does a few things. Not only are you trying to fix or get your point across it shows your boss you have leadership qualities, take your Job serious and adds to that "reputation" we discussed many posts ago. Remember your reputation will follow you everywhere. Keep building it. Speak up and don't be afraid to talk to your boss!!!
