First day back into new year of Sales

We all start at zero again. How frightening? Right? Every year we bust our asses to get on top, we achieve our goals and then the year ends. Our numbers go from the peak to the trough. Don't get discouraged. Whether you are new or a seasoned veteran, this is a common feeling among ALL of us Sales folks. If anyone tells you otherwise I would have to believe that maybe that are not in sales or are independently or keeping it to his or herself. What needs to be done is set goals right away. Do not wait to set them to see what is in store for next few months. Just set the goals realistically from what you have done in last 3 years and add some growth onto it. But when you set the goals lay it out by month, year, week, day and or hour. Set specific money, accomplishments, education and personal family goals. Write them all down on the same sheet of paper and hang it up for you to see everyday. Believe this or not, once it's on paper it will feel like you have set the year in motion. In addition seeing it everyday will unconsciously help you achieve what you write down. Now don't get me wrong don't stare at it all day and think magically your dreams will come true like in Disney World. Lol. :). But work hard and be disciplined. The "jeez I start at zero again" feeling will fade when you know there is a plan and it starts to slowly work out. Happy New Year and good luck in 2013!!!!
